Ten things I’ve learned from being “freshly pressed”

So, today I have been selected for the “Freshly Pressed” section of the WordPress.com homepage. Thank you WordPress…you are my heros. This post I found by Zona Pellucida sums up how I feel about it.

  1. The right mention goes a long way.
  2. Good content matters. Thanks, guestposters…🙂
  3. Blogging is fun!
  4. Gobbling is also fun (but unrelated).
  5. Robbing is wrong. Don’t rob banks, don’t steal content.
  6. Lists are neat.
  7. I like being validated by other people.
  8. I like validating other people.
  9. I hate validating parking. That’s why I ride a bicycle!
  10. It’s amazing how quickly fame goes to my head. I’m a superstar!!!! Ok…maybe not….

  4. Bicycles rock. I moved to Hong Kong on December 9, 1999. The last time I drove anything with a motor was December 8, 1998. I’ve since lived in mainland China, Thailand, and now Vietnam. I still bicycle, hundreds of miles a week. I bet I get more miles per Subway sandwich than anyone can on $5 worth of gas. Well, there’s no Subway here, but I’m trying to make the math easy for my fellow Americans.
